So crazy that when zero dawn came out I was like. That is a lesbian. I see it in her eyes…

And then Forbidden West confirms with the DLC,,,, so close to my birthday too I was eating GOOD

so true anon. as you can see, I stanned Vala/Aloy from day 1. I was in there in the first few hours of the game going omg she has a crushhhhhh. Anyway they're canon to me <3

That being said the difference in how Aloy acts with women versus men is so crazy, like I swear I was going 👀 at every interaction. She's just so warm and happy and open with the ladies, while with men she's so much more standoffish. The only guys that I think she's actually genuine with in the entirety of the two games are Varl and Erend, and maybeeee Kotallo by the end of HFW when he's all caught up to speed on what's going on. That being said though, those relationships once again read so differently to me than any she has with women. She'll be all flirty and blush and be cute with the girls, while with Varl/Erend/Kotallo I feel like it's very "yeah we are bros, we're cool" vibe they have going on, which is also good. She deserves to have friends!

Anyway I have been on lesbian Aloy train since day 1. Nothing else makes sense to me.

Honestly y'all I can't imagine Aloy dating/liking anyone other than a girl, like, her interactions are on average way richer and way more engaged with lady NPCs (not to say that there aren't rich and engaging interactions with guy characters, there are, but Aloy herself seems way less interested/invested in those than the ones she has with girls)

in regards to the last ask: flitmouse is only able to „flee“ to hillview because vadim abandoned him first right? i mean emotionally, physically he wouldnt be able to leave anyway. so vadims claim that overrode flitmouse psychologically during the abuse lost effect in that sense? bc as you said it hasnt been broken or repudiated, yet flitmouse doesnt want to be near him anymore right?

Yeah that's right, Flitmouse could only go to Hillview because he was abandoned. It was years after the abandonment too, I might add, he waited for Vadim to return for a long time, he didn't like...escape straight away, it wouldn't have occurred to him that was an option. He would have continued on in that house waiting and languishing and working until he finally started to look at his options. And his options were basically palliative care (or so he thought).

Vadim's claim is still very strong, but the length of time meant Flitmouse has become a lot more realistic about whether Vadim wants him anymore. If he believed Vadim genuinely wanted him still, he'd be in that house waiting for him until he died. And to be quite honest, Flitmouse looked for a place to die, so Vadim wouldn't find him dead in their house.

Like, Flitmouse doesn't come to Hillview for healing, a new relationship, or a new life. He comes very explicitly to die of malnutrition/starvation, and he doesn't expect it to last that long.

And I think because of that, he has a last burst of strength which is something along the lines of 'my life has been miserable and not worth living, please just let the last few months of my life happen in somewhere that is pleasing to the eye, before I pass away.'

If Vadim found him, Flitmouse knows better than anyone he would be completely powerless to resist him and would simply return back home with him without saying another word (i.e. the claim would immediately be as strong as it ever was just via exposure). He doesn't want to be near him, but he's an omega and he understands that just because he doesn't want something doesn't mean he'll be able to let himself avoid it.

He's going to talk more about his relationship with Vadim as the chapters go on (especially as April and May are Gold months), and yeah like, Flitmouse hates Vadim, but he loves and worships him too, a claim forces a lot of conflict and inner dissonance into omegas in abusive relationships, which ultimately manifests as self-hatred and then self-abnegation, which we see in Flitmouse.
